charKOL Runway

#charKOLRunwayThatWhichIsBeautiful
charKOL Runway
is produced by #charKOLCottageStudios to explore Fashion & Identity, at the same time build the end-to-end sustainable supply chain of clothes making, in order to empower sustainable micro-entrepreneurism. We would need to create the physical and digital interface with our customers and between all those who are going to be on this physical-digital catwalk. We would be in deep honest dialogues, designing, sewing, delivering and creating the unboxing experiences together. We would deep discover what fashions means for each of us. The insights will help us launch our charKOL Runway Collection #1 for a retail micro-entrepreneurism of the marketplaces of possibilities.
The charKOL Runway Preparation
follow our story: #charKOLRunwayThatWhichIsBeautiful

#1 Fabric
The fabric for this collection is Eco-friendly Japanese Cotton from The Shophouse Fabric. We picked 3 pieces: 2 for short dresses and 3 for a long dress.
The first one is Parisien-Japanese chic. I imagine it short and sleeveless, very cute for any occasion. Check out all the Parisien cafe activities. You could write poetry at a cafe in Singapore and people watch. I love it because it's so full of bustle and aliveness. And it's chic bold.
The second piece is a Blue on Blue look. Very, very chic and classy. I love the daisies. They remind me of Japanese summer in a forest of blue. It has like a chic cheongsam-kebaya invite to it. Anita and I decided a short dress for this piece. I think it can go from a picnic to a formal dinner party.
The third piece called out to me right at the end. As I was wearing my doggie pendant, I think this is definitely the doggie match. The doggies make me happy. Anita said we could do a long dress with this fabric, and we could add a sexy slit to it. The tomboy in me is saying: yeah, bring it on.
I think I might just name each dress! Or write some poetry and paint up some fashion catwalk style and mood. Dunno, tomorrow, I am meeting Rose, our tailor.

#2 Design
Rose, the tailor, loved the fabric. She and I worked out our Spring Collection. I will now need to find models that fit the shape and cut, and we need regular sizing for the tailoring.
We think we will only make 20 outfits for this collection. I am to draw the designs for Rose, and I will need to find models with the right sizing.
After I got back to my home studio, I thought of a Runway Campaign: That Which is Beautiful.
